A solicitors is helping a much-loved charity to thrive. JBGass has been supporting Wilmslow Animal Sanctuary for seven years.
The conveyancing specialist has been making a donation from fees drawn up during Will Week, when solicitors offer to write wills free of charge in return for a donation.
Solicitors are running the same service during the next Will Week, from Monday, October 17.
The property specialists, also based in Wilmslow, stepped in when they heard that one of the resident pigs needed a new home.
The company, on Wilmslow Road, donated £520 to provide a new arc for Bella, a 100 kilo pig.
The sanctuary was founded more than 50 years ago and is run by the Humane Education Society, a charitable organisation working for a more compassionate society through education and practical work with children and animals.
Volunteers rescue and re-home unwanted, abandoned, stray and ill-treated animals in a former turkey farm on Newgate.
Trustee Colin Barton said: “The partnership we have with JBGass is so special and we are so fortunate to have the support of such a charitable organisation.
“The difference the Will Week donations make to the quality of the day-to-day care of our animals is huge.”
The solicitor also offers the charity legal advice and sponsors their annual fundraising calendar.
Rick Barrow, Marketing Director at JBGass, said: “As a team, we love knowing that our work can make a difference that extends beyond our day-to-day work and Will Week is a fantastic opportunity for this.
“The whole team have really adopted the animal sanctuary as a charity, as well as several of their animals.”
