Less than a month after Marketing Manager, Rick Barrow, was presented with a Law Society Excellence Award, his employers have now been named as finalists at the Chartered Institute of Marketing Excellence Awards.
Jackson Barrett & Gass are amongst eight companies in the Professional Services category, which includes Deloitte, BT, and Ernst & Young.
The entry relates to developing an approach to supporting house sales including a Home Information Pack of a high standard at a low price, which has succeeded in retaining old clients, attracting new ones and developing profitable relationships with local Estate agents.
Rick, who has only recently completed his part-time Chartered Institute of Marketing Professional Certificate at Macclesfield College, has taken no time in putting his studies to good use. His employers became the first Law Firm in Cheshire, and only the 3rd firm in the North West to win a Law Society Excellence Award, something normally reserved for International Firms.
The judges described Rick's entry as "exhibiting the true art of executing a well-planned and well-researched strategy to build a service which succeeded in marking them apart from their competitors."
Jackson Barrett & Gass must now compete with other sectors to try to claim an unprecedented Excellence Award brace.
Rick Barrow, Marketing Manager, said, "I can't describe how pleased I am for the company. They have showed tremendous faith in my overall ability, not to mention investment in my CIM course, and even without the awards, I hope that I have gone some way to providing the returns that are deserved.
The CIM Excellence Award shortlisting simply reaffirms the Law Society Excellence Award, and shows that smaller firms really can compete with big firms."
The awards will be presented at a black-tie event at the Grange St Pauls Hotel in London on 17 February 2010, with the evening hosted by comedian Hugh Dennis, of Mock the Week.
